Juventus youngster Matias Soulé could remain at Frosinone in the January transfer window, despite increasing interest from Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.

That’s according to the Italian side’s sporting director Guido Angelozz, who has insisted that Juventus are yet to show any signs they are considering a sale.

Soulé has been impressing on loan at Frosinone this season after joining the Italian side on loan from Juventus to secure regular playing time and continue his development.

He’s certainly managed to do that, with seven goals and one assist in 18 games so far earning him rave reviews, plenty of plaudits and admirers to go with it.

Crystal Palace and Newcastle have been linked with a move for months, with several reports in Italy making it clear that both are keeping an eye on him and eyeing up a potential move in January.

Soulé himself seemed to pour cold water on that idea at the weekend when he claimed as far as he knew he’d be staying put and Angelozz has now added to that by echoing his sentiments.

“Will he stay until June? He is followed by many clubs, but Juventus, up to now, have said that they are happy with the path that the three Bianconeri are following. I am convinced that all three will remain until June,” he is quoted as saying on the matter.

Whether that means he does end up staying remains to be seen, of course, particularly if Crystal Palace and Newcastle do make firm moves for him at some point this month.

Calciomercato, for their part, believe that ‘in all likelihood’ that Juventus’ plans for Soulé involve him concluding the season at Frosinone and then calmly re-evaluating his future in the summer.

They do, though, speculate that the winter market can always bring surprises and faced with an offer of at least €30m they would be willing to sell regardless of that idea.
