Fulham have re-entered the race for Palmeiras midfielder Allan. The Premier League club is making fresh checks on the Brazilian as interest from England continues to build ahead of the next transfer window.
The 22-year-old has become one of Palmeiras’ most important players over the past 18 months. He is attracting attention from several clubs.
As we previously covered, Newcastle have long been viewed as the strongest contenders. Liverpool retain a serious interest and Manchester United have recently been credited with entering the picture.
Now Sport Witness sources have confirmed Fulham recently sent a scout to Palmeiras’ training centre to watch Allan and discuss the possibility of a future transfer.
The London club were linked with the midfielder in November last year, but little emerged after those reports.
Their latest move suggests the interest has remained alive behind the scenes, even as bigger Premier League names have dominated the headlines.
Allan has given clubs plenty of reasons to keep watching. He has scored six goals and registered four assists in 34 appearances this season, establishing himself as one of the standout performers in a Palmeiras side currently leading the Brazilian championship.
Fulham face competition from England’s biggest clubs
Fulham’s renewed interest arrives at a time when Allan’s situation is attracting increasing attention across the Premier League.
Newcastle have repeatedly been described in Brazil as the favourites for his signature. Reports have suggested the Magpies prepared a package worth around €46m (£40m) including bonuses. In addition, club representatives have already travelled to Brazil to follow developments closely.
Liverpool also remain firmly in the background. The Reds have tracked Allan for a long time. They have explored different ways of structuring a potential deal, including the possibility of waiting until after the World Cup.
Despite the growing interest, Palmeiras have shown little desire to sell.
President Leila Pereira has consistently opposed a mid-season departure . The club are working on a new contract that could extend Allan’s stay until 2030. The proposed agreement would include improved wages and a higher release clause. This would strengthen Palmeiras’ position in negotiations.
The Brazilian side also do not face any immediate financial pressure. Allan is regarded as a key figure in manager Abel Ferreira’s plans as Palmeiras chase major honours domestically and internationally.
That stance has contributed to a rising valuation. Palmeiras are now effectively looking at offers above €45m (£39m). A bid around that level in guaranteed money is now considered difficult to ignore.
Pressure building ahead of next window

While Palmeiras are standing firm publicly, there are factors that could make the story more complicated in the coming months.
The player’s representatives at Talent Sports are understood to favour a transfer. In Brazil, there is an expectation that multiple clubs will test Palmeiras’ resolve when the next window opens.
One of the main obstacles remains the payment structure. Premier League clubs generally prefer long-term instalments, potentially spread across three years, while Palmeiras would like a larger proportion of the fee paid much earlier.
There is also a footballing angle worth watching. Palmeiras invested heavily in Jhon Arias after signing him from Wolves earlier this year, but the Colombian has frequently operated away from his preferred role because Allan remains an undisputed starter.
That does not mean Palmeiras are preparing to sell, but it does mean they already possess a high-profile option capable of filling a significant part of the void if Premier League pressure eventually becomes impossible to resist.
