Gilberto Mora’s agent Rafaela Pimenta indicates the Liverpool target will leave Club Tijuana in the near future, after dismissing claims of an agreement for his transfer.
The attacking midfielder’s development in Mexico has caught the attention of Liverpool and a few others.
Having graduated from Tijuana’s youth system, Mora made his first team debut in 2025. He has 15 goals and three assists from 62 matches and made his senior debut for Mexico a year ago.
The 18-year-old has played 13 matches for the national team. He impressed at the World Cup even though he didn’t score or assist for El Tri.
Liverpool’s reported offer for Mora

On October 6th, TUDN journalist David Faitelson stated the Premier League side have tabled a $50m [€43m] bid for the youngster.
Gilberto Mora turned 18 years of age on October 14th. ESPN Mexico journalist León Lecanda reported he will reach an agreement with a top European club on his birthday.
Rafaela Pimenta had earlier refused to respond to the Liverpool links. She now spoke to TNT Sports in Mexico and Bolavip have relayed her comments.
“I agreed to this interview to answer the question, because I’ve been seeing it in several places. We know that the FIFA transfer window is closed, so there are no transfers until January, and then again until June,” she said.
“There are so many rumours that we want to put a stop to it. He’s growing and needs his space, his time, and he doesn’t need pressure.”

Already drawn up future plan for Liverpool target
Gilberto Mora’s contract runs down in 2029 and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €25m.
Mexico manager Rafael Márquez has already backed him for a big move. He said: “I think he could fit in with any team. He has the ability and, above all, the mentality to want to succeed. Wherever he goes, I’m sure he can have many opportunities and have a great career.”
Despite denying an agreement with Liverpool or any other club, Rafaela Pimenta indicated a plan has already been prepared for the teenager’s future.
“Everything will come, everything will arrive,” Pimenta explained.
“Everything will happen as we think and as we planned, but on his birthday, we’re only going to think about celebrating his life, his coming of age, his future, and his past, which for me is what’s important.”
