Manchester City are confident of signing Chelsea‘s Enzo Fernández before the window closes next Tuesday.
The Citizens have been pursuing the midfielder for several weeks and are now rushing to secure his services.

Journalist Germán García Grova took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that the 25-year-old is close to joining the Premier League side.
Manchester City have been in talks with Chelsea and the negotiations for the €137m deal are in the final stages. The Argentina international will receive a contract until 2032.
On Thursday, the Blues beat Luton Town 2-0 in the EFL Cup and Xabi Alonso left Enzo Fernández out of the squad.
Another journalist, Gastón Edul, took to X to state that his omission was because of the impending transfer.

Within the report, the outlet states: ‘The Enzo Fernández saga is nearing its end. The parties have reached an agreement, and he will join Manchester City in another mega-money transfer.’
It’s unclear whether the agreement is between the Premier League duo or the player and the English club.
The Etihad club have already invested big on signing Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer and are closing in on another big move.
He missed yesterday’s cup tie against Luton Town because his sale is ‘imminent’. The Manchester club are offering him a contract until 2032, with an option for another year.
Maresca, who managed Fernández at Stamford Bridge, has been pushing for his signing. The pair will soon reunite at the Etihad, barring any last-minute setback.
