Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Ajax ‘s Jorrel Hato since the first half of last season.
Last November, journalist Suleyman Öztürk said the defender ended up on the Gunners’ radar. Back in March, De Telegraaf reported Arsenal were willing to sign him in the last window, but no deal took shape.
Arsenal are still in the picture for the 18-year-old if Tutto Juve are to be believed.
Hato can operate as a left-back and a centre-back. He graduated from Ajax’s academy and made his way into their first team in 2023, making 74 appearances so far.
The Eredivisie side’s ‘revelation’ is the ’emerging prospect in the European football’ and is on the radar of several clubs. The report focuses only on the Premier League side and Juventus.
With regards to Arsenal, it’s claimed their interest in the Netherlands international has ‘grown significantly’.
Mikel Arteta’s side had followed him during his national team’s 1-0 defeat to Germany earlier this week. He played the full 90 minutes as a left-back. The Turin club have also been following the player.
Tutto Juve claim the Serie A side will face ‘heavy competition’ from the north London club to sign Hato. His deal lasts until 2028, and the report states Ajax are requesting around €30m for the Dutchman.
