Luka Vušković is ‘waiting’ for Tottenham Hotspur to make a decision on his immediate future, according to Slobodna Dalmacija.

Last September, Spurs agreed a deal with Hajduk Split for the 16-year-old to arrive at the north London club in the summer of 2025.

The centre-back is a product of the Croatian club’s youth system and made his first team debut last February. His rise, profile and potential convinced Tottenham to make an investment for the future.

Vušković didn’t make any appearances for Hajduk Split’s first team this season. He cannot join Tottenham until he turns 18 years of age in 2025 and therefore, the Premier League side have to find him a club where he can continue his development.

The defender recently visited Spurs before returning to Hajduk Split, at least until there’s clarity on his immediate future. The Croatian club will have a winter break in Umag and if Tottenham don’t make a decision by then, Vušković will travel with the main squad.

Slobodna Dalmacija say the possibility of the youngster staying at Hajduk Split isn’t ruled out completely, where he would be part of their youth team. However, Tottenham’s plans for him are different.

Vušković needs a better challenge to improve his game and the report states it’s expected that he could go out on loan elsewhere this month.

It’s explained that Tottenham and the teenager’s family will ‘make a decision’ on his next club, and until then he will continue to train at Hajduk Split.
