Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are having a brilliant start to the current season. It’s abundantly clear that Klopp has managed to get his wishes over to his Liverpool players, and that’s resulting in good performances and results.

Whilst before the season Liverpool may have considered Champions League qualification to be what they were aiming for, the club’s start inevitably encourages dreams of winning the Premier League title.

Level on points with Manchester City, no club have scored more goals in the Premier League than Liverpool. With a period of winnable games coming up, things may get even better for Klopp and his men.

Klopp’s former boss at Borussia Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has been speaking to Bild. The German newspaper asked Watzke if he dares to think Liverpool can win the Premier League this season.

“Yes! Even if Jurgen does not like to hear it, he has a chance. He’s doing a great job there. However, one should not underestimate the fact that Man City and Arsenal are also very strong. It’s incomprehensibly tight in England. Jurgen Klopp has an advantage: He has no English weeks.”

The German use the term ‘English week’ to describe when there’s three matches in around 7 or 8 days. So a league game at the weekend, followed by a European game midweek, and then another league game at the weekend.
