Spanish newspaper ABC de Sevilla today features a long story about the La Liga side’s plans for next season, with Victor Orta having a big job handling changes at the club.
The outlet claims that Quique Sánchez Flores may not stay at the club for another year, as his future depends on how the team do in the final weeks of the season.
When naming some candidates to replace the Spaniard, Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca ends up getting a mention.
It’s said the Foxes’ coach is one of the names ‘on the table’, although he’s not the one on top of the list, as Jagoba Arrasate is the ‘best positioned’ one.
Maresca, who has just achieved the promotion to the Premier League with the Foxes, still has a contract at the club running until 2026.
Sevilla are going through endless dramas off the pitch which don’t show many signs of stopping. Maresca will no doubt be aware of all that chaos and given he’s just got Leicester City promoted he’s probably best swerving the Spanish club, until they’re more stable, and staying where he is.
