The future of Tanguy Ndombélé appears to be becoming a hot topic of conversation in Italy these days, as we near the backend of the season.

The Frenchman has been on loan from Tottenham in Naples for the current campaign, and while he hasn’t been a regular starter, he has impacted Luciano Spalletti’s side here and there.

Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli’s Paolo Del Genia, speaking on the show Radio Goal and relayed by Tutto Napoli, gave his two cents on the situation, which could see Spurs having to sit down around a negotiation table once again.

Tottenham agreed a €28m or so option to buy clause to be inserted in the deal in hope the player would impress and the Serie A side would pay it.

That’s a lot of money for an Italian side, especially one that doesn’t start every week, which is why there has been talk of Cristiano Giuntoli and Aurelio De Laurentiis wanting to try and get some sort of discount on the fee.

This is echoed by Del Genio, who discussed the Tottenham midfielder: “Ndombélé? He seems to me to be growing, and not because he scored. You could always see his potential but he couldn’t make his plays come true, but now he seems to me more involved in the action and becomes decisive. It wouldn’t surprise me if Napoli tried to redeem him for a different figure than the €30m agreed with Tottenham.”
