Wolverhampton Wanderers and VfB Stuttgart have a deal for the transfer of Sasa Kalajdzic, according to the latest reports from Germany.

Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that the clubs found an ‘agreement in principle’ for the striker’s move.

Wolves are set to pay Stuttgart an initial fee of around €18m, plus performance bonuses. Once the final details are sorted, it’s said the 25-year-old will ‘probably’ have his medical tomorrow, as he’s said to be ‘on the verge’ of completing the move.

The Molineux side’s hunt for Kalajdzic has been on since the start of last week, when the ‘intensive negotiations’ with the Bundesliga side were first reported. Since the first story about this chase, it had already been said there was a deal with the player, so the transfer fee was always the main issue to be sorted.

The striker had big struggles with a shoulder injury last year, and finished the season scoring six times in 15 appearances. Now as he’s still to find the net in 2022/23, it seems his first goals of the season will be for Wolves.
