Luis Sinisterra is set to return to group training with Bournemouth in the coming days, with the Colombian National team awaiting news on his progress from the Cherries.
That’s according to journalist Pipe Sierra, who reports that the winger is expected back despite missing Bournemouth’s win over Manchester City.
Sinisterra has been missing from Bournemouth’s last two matchday squads for the draw with Aston Villa and the win over Manchester City on Saturday.
He had been a regular in Andoni Iraola’s plans up until that point, featuring in all of Bournemouth’s league games so far albeit largely as a second half substitute.
His absence from the squad is yet to be determined, with Iraola simply stating this week that the Colombian forward remained out alongside Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Sierra, though, provides some positive news and reports that despite a second straight absence from the Bournemouth squad, Sinisterra will return to group training in the coming days.
The Colombian national team have been made aware of this and his situation in general and are awaiting news on the winger’s progress over the course of this week.
Whether he’s a part of their squad for the next international break, in which they take on Uruguay and then Ecuador in World Cup qualifying, remains to be seen but there is seemingly positivity, at least at Bournemouth, that his absence will not be a long one.
