Wolverhampton Wanderers seem to be very well positioned to sign Rio Ave defender Roderick Miranda.

According to Tuesday’s edition of A Bola, Wolves have offered €3m for the 26-year-old, an amount the Portuguese side can’t say no to.

A Bola claim there was even some competition from Braga, but they could only offer half of what Wolves have put forward.

Wolves have been linked to Roderick since February, and as the player is a Jorge Mendes client, you would expect the agent to sort the move to the club he’s been working with.

But something even more interesting is the way A Bola Roderick will have the chance to work with Nuno Espírito Santo again.

Although nothing has been made official yet, the newspaper make it clear that the former Porto manager will indeed take charge of Wolves for next season, and he’s the one who pushed for the move to happen.

Roderick and Nuno Espírito Santo had previously worked together at Rio Ave in 2013/14, when the boss took the club to the cup final, but lost it to Benfica.

So, at least according to today’s story, Wolves should have two exciting announcements to make pretty soon.
