Wolverhampton Wanderers fans won’t need much effort to remember the summer saga involving Borussia Monchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi.

Well, it may be time to prepare themselves for a brand-new slew of rumours as he’s still keen on a move and has even changed agents to make it happen.

That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says the 27-year-old is ‘open for a new challenge’ despite signing a new deal in the summer until 2027.

The German journalist reports that Elvedi has decided to swap agents, ditching his previous representatives for Pini Zahavi instead.

According to him the defender ‘has a market’ in England, presumably the Premier League, but he doesn’t name who the interested parties may be.

One of them is very likely to be Wolves, though, with them having been linked extensively throughout the summer transfer window, with it claimed at one point they had held ‘quite serious conversations’ about the defender.

A transfer never ended up happening and he signed a new deal which included a release clause, and it seems he intends to make use of it.

Whether that means he ends up at Wolves remains to be seen but Zahavi certainly has contacts in England, and he’ll undoubtedly be using them to make Elvedi’s wish for a move come true.
