Earlier today, we covered a tweet from Santi Aouna that claimed that West Ham United’s Tim Steidten was travelling to the Netherlands to sit down with Ajax Amsterdam.

The aim was to try and find an agreement with the Eredivisie side for Mohammed Kudus, who has become something of a priority for the Hammers.

The same journalist brings an update later on on Thursday, where he claims that the West Ham director of football is actually ‘confident of reaching an agreement’ with Ajax for the Ghanaian’s transfer.

He also adds that the other transfer priority for the Hammers is the signing of Jérémy Doku, currently contracted to Stade de Rennes.

The problem there is that Manchester City are also trying to bring the Belgian to the Premier League, but that hasn’t put off West Ham.

He recalls what had already been reported on Wednesday, which is that the Hammers have already made a ‘verbal offer’ for the winger.

How that was met isn’t said, but it’s very clear West Ham have shifted gears on the transfer market.
