Perhaps you were lucky enough to miss it, but we’re happy to tell you that Javier Hernandez is now a Youtuber.

Along with friends, the West Ham striker has released a channel this week called ‘The Naked Humans’, which is supposed to show their life as normal people, and not like celebrities.

And besides Chicharito’s strong presence on Instagram, he’s also been promoting his gaming videos on Twitch and soon on a personal Youtube channel.

This is the reason why Record, the most important sports newspaper in Mexico, have him on their front page today. And that’s not for a good cause.

They say ‘Do not get tangled’, as they show a lot of worry about his recent involvement in social networks.

Record’s information is the least important part of the story. They claim Chicharito should be moving to Spain, where his agents have offers from clubs towards the bottom of the table.

It means the player is losing his appeal in European football, especially if he makes such a move coming from the Premier League, which is today considered to be the best league in the world.

Record relates it all to his social media presence. They report the release of his Youtube channel, and asked nine different people to comment on his recent attitude.

The story brings comments from a Record director, five columnists, two analysts and one former footballer. Most of them agree that he’s spending too much time on social media, and that may affect his focus on the game.

Record columnist Felipe Ramos Rizo, for example, writes about the West Ham player: “I had never seen a player dedicate so much time to social networks, I think there can be distraction and neglect his football activity.”

Meanwhile, columnist Ignacio Suarez says: “Unfortunately, in recent months the only place where Chicharito transcends has been in the networks. Not on the pitch.”

Record doesn’t seem happy Chicharito is leaving West Ham United this way, and expected a lot more from the Mexican striker.

They bring graphics showing his performances have been getting worse both for club and country, and suggest he’s now more interested in reaching goals on social media, rather than actually scoring them on a football pitch.
