Portuguese newspaper A Bola now believes Rafael Camacho’s transfer from Liverpool to Sporting is pretty much agreed.

The outlet writes the player is set to sign for the Lions in ‘the coming hours’, and it’s possible that the deal can be done today, or, if there’s a delay, at the weekend.

Sources from England told A Bola that Liverpool will let the player return to his old club, making it easier for him to try to relaunch his career somewhere else.

Camacho is said to be so focused on returning to Sporting that he’s rejected the chance to move to Germany, where he could have signed for Schalke 04.

Camacho is expected to sign a five-year deal. A Bola claims that the transfer fee is confidential, but it should be way below the €10m initially demanded by the Reds.

The fact that Camacho’s contract with Liverpool would expire in a year has convinced the Reds to drop the price and accept the payment in several instalments. On the other hand, the Anfield side are expected to have a percentage of a future transfer.
