Felipe Anderson put in a great performance for West Ham at the weekend as Manuel Pellegrini’s men beat Burnley 4-2.

Now in 13th place in the Premier League table, the Hammers are trying to get some momentum together after a very difficult start to the season and life under Pellegrini.

Anderson was one of several major signings during the summer window and the Brazilian was something of a gamble, with it not being clear if he could reach his potential in the Premier League.

There had been frustrations at times in Italy, and Lazio were happy to get such a big fee.

So far the signs have been pretty good and Anderson was vital for West Ham in the Burnley match, scoring twice and being the best player on the pitch.

It took the 25 year old’s Premier league tally to three goals and one assist so far this season and he’ll want to add more for the club as soon as possible.

His performance has been recognised with a place in Gazzetta dello Sport‘s European Team of the Week. Anderson isn’t the only England based player in the selection, being joined by Raheem Sterling and Andy Robertson.
