West Ham United were reportedly one of the clubs who had some interest in the Portuguese league match between Paços Ferreira and Rio Ave on Monday.

As written by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the Hammers sent scouts to watch the game, even though the club targets are not revealed by the outlet.

With David Moyes’ side not having scouted or being linked to players from any of these clubs lately, it’s hard to guess who West Ham would be interested in. And with a final score of 0-0, it’s even harder to find players who excelled in the match.

But A Bola brings a few players who may have impressed scouts. For the home side, goalkeeper Rafael Defendi kept things safe, while winger Mabil was the one offering more danger to Rio Ave.

For the away side, besides goalkeeper Cássio, midfielder duo Tarantini and Pelé both had a good match, securing the draw which guarantees Rio Ave the fifth place in the league.

Some English football fans may be familiar with Pelé’s name. The player has been recently linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves would be keen on signing him this summer after a failed move two seasons ago.

Celta Vigo, Mallorca, Tenerife, Freiburg, Atalanta, Groningen, Genk and Lech Poznan were the other clubs who sent scouts to this match.
