Two days ago, Sport explained West Ham United retain an interest in Junior Firpo and could table a ‘more attractive economic offer’ to sign the Barcelona defender in the winter market.
It was also stated AC Milan are interested in the left-back, but they can consider taking him on a loan deal.
Friday’s edition of Sport has a report on the Serie A side’s attempts to land the 24-year-old and also about West Ham’s stance on the player.
Milan held talks with the Catalan club on Thursday and want to take him on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €20m. Barca, however, want to include a ‘purchase obligation’ of around €22m so that they don’t suffer any losses.
Regarding David Moyes’ side, it’s claimed West Ham maintain interest in Junior’s transfer, but have so far not ‘launched any offer’.
With less than two weeks left for the window to close, the La Liga side will have to ‘make a decision’ in days.
Milan are named as the ‘main interested’ suitor and that could soon change if West Ham table a bid to sign Junior on a permanent deal this month.
Ronald Koeman has given his approval for Junior’s sale and should he leave the Camp Nou in January, Sport add Barcelona will not sign a new left-back in the same window.
