Failing to strengthen the position during the January transfer window, West Brom are going to have to sign a new striker in some shape or form in the summer.
One of the frontrunners for the job, which has been the case since last year, is Anderlecht’s Lukasz Teodorczyk, who recently signed permanently for the Jupiler Pro League side following a successful loan from Dynamo Kiev.
The 25-year-old has scored 28 goals in 49 appearances this season for the Belgian club, and has attracted a lot of interest over the course of the season.
A recent dip in form has worried a few, but considering the amount he has played, it’s only natural for the West Brom target to be struggling late in the season.
RTBF in Belgium claim the Baggies are still one of many clubs interested in his services, and that any deal taking him away from Anderlecht would cost above €15m.
An affordable price for a striker with all the physical attributes to succeed in the Premier League, as well as a strong ability to find the back of the net with his head and feet alike.
With West Ham, Liverpool and Sunderland also interested, Tony Pulis and co. might have to make a move relatively quickly.
As things stand, no offer appears to have been made, but we expect that to change very soon.
