Jordi Quintilla came up through the ranks of Barcelona’s academy, but failed to make his way into their first team.

He left the Camp Nou and struggled elsewhere before Swiss club FC St. Gallen signed him on a two-year deal last summer. He went on to score two goals and register three assists in 34 league appearances last season.

His performance while being deployed as a defensive midfielder has drawn attention from West Bromwich Albion, Union Berlin and Stuttgart.

This is according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim the Championship side along with aforementioned two clubs are ‘interested’ in securing the services of the Spaniard.

Quintilla’s contract with his current employer runs out in 2020 and any potential suitors, including the Baggies, will have to negotiate a deal with the club based from Switzerland in signing the player.

The Catalan newspaper states reports in Germany claim St. Gallen could sanction Quintilla’s sale for about €1m.
