AC Milan’s Suso has emerged as a transfer target for AS Roma, according to reports.
Calciomercato claim contacts between with the Spaniard’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, and the two clubs are continuous, but Suso’s asking price of €30-35m remains expensive for Paulo Fonseca’s side.
For this reason, Roma have started to look at other alternatives and identified Watford’s Gerard Deulofeu as a target.
It’s claimed the Italian capital club will offer their goalkeeper Robin Olsen as part of the deal to sign the former Everton man.
Watford have Ben Foster, Heurelho Gomes and Pontus Dahlberg as the three goalkeepers in the squad and unless and until one of them is sold, it doesn’t make sense to sign Olsen.
Deulofeu didn’t rule out a move away from the Premier League club in the summer transfer window, but Roma identifying him as an alternate target could be a tactic from their end to put pressure on Milan to lower the asking price for Suso.
