Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is again being linked with Serie A side Fiorentina.

Today, it’s Corriere Fiorentino who feature a piece about La Viola’s transfer plans for the remainder of the summer transfer window, and the 26-year-old’s name returns to being mentioned.

The outlet claims Fiorentina are looking to make a ‘big investment’, and the possibility of landing Lo Celso is ‘coming back into fashion’. The story, however, says things should be taken ‘calmly’, with the Italian club slowly still deciding what is possible for them in the market.

Back in January, the Serie A side had been linked to the midfielder for what would have been a loan deal, but the player ended up joining Villarreal on a six-month spell.

Then at the end of June, we covered a couple of Italian newspapers claiming Lo Celso could turn out to be a target again, this time for the summer window.

With previous claims that Tottenham are ‘open’ to selling him this summer, it seems Serie A could be another option for the player, who already has pretenders in La Liga.
