Tottenham are ready to make a double swoop on Juventus, having now turned their attention to Rodrigo Bentancur alongside Dejan Kulusevski.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say talks are underway for Spurs to get both players before the end of the transfer window.

They report that Tottenham ‘want to go shopping’ at Juventus in the final days of the market and are now ‘ready to make an offer’ for Bentancur.

He has been linked with a move to Aston Villa for weeks, but there has been no ‘further development’ on that front, so Tottenham have jumped at the opportunity.

There is a suggestion that he could be replaced at the club by Giovani Lo Celso, but there’s no mention if the clubs are working on a swap deal or two separate transfers.

Calciomercato provide that information, however, stating that the ‘hottest track’ for Bentancur is Tottenham, and they are engaged in a ‘double negotiation’ alongside the talks for Kulusevski.

With Bentancur, the Bianconeri are looking for €25-30m as they have to take into account the share of the proceeds that have to be turned over to Boca Juniors, which is currently at 35-37%. Whether Spurs are willing to pay that much isn’t mentioned.

For Kulusevski, Conte and Paratici are ‘pushing for the loan’, but Juventus are looking for a ‘definitive sale’ there as well, so negotiations are continuing.

TMW say that the Italian giants value the Swedish star at €35m, but Tottenham are ‘stuck’ on the idea of a loan with a right to buy tagged onto it.

That’s something Juventus aren’t interested in at the moment, and if they were to sanction a loan deal, it would be with an ‘obligation’ to buy rather than the option.

There is work to be done on both players, then, but Tottenham are seemingly willing to do it and get Conte the players he’s been asking for since his arrival.
