Tottenham are planning an ‘assault’ for Atalanta midfielder Ederson and looking to overcome Juventus in the race for his signature.

That’s according to Corriere della Sera, relayed by Napoli Magazine, who say Tottenham’s ‘assault’ for the player ‘is ready’.

Spurs have been busy strengthening Ange Postecoglou’s squad this month signing Radu Dragusin from Genoa and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

The belief is that their business may not be done there, though, as they’re keen to build on a strong first-half of the season and perhaps finish in the top four.

Several reports in Italy have linked them with a move for Ederson, who has five goals, and one assists in 20 games for Atalanta in Serie A this season.

Those reports in Italy had indicated Tottenham have made a move for the Brazilian but not received a response from the Italian side, who aren’t particularly interested in a sale before the end of the window.

Corriere della Sera now state that Tottenham ‘continue to look towards’ Serie A, though, and after getting Dragusin have targeted Ederson.

An ‘assault’ for the midfielder ‘is ready’ and they want to move to get the Nerazzurri midfielder, trying to overcome competition from Juventus, who need to sign midfielders to replace the suspended duo Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

Tottenham appear to be aware of that and want to get ahead, although it seems they need to convince Atalanta at this point.
