Alex Sandro has been most strongly linked with Chelsea out of Premier League clubs, but every now and again Manchester United are dragged into the equation.

Jose Mourinho banishing Luke Shaw for much of the season has more than suggested the Manchester United manager would like to bring a replacement in, and his recent comments about City’s fullback spending show the Old Trafford boss knows such players don’t come cheap.

Tuttosport drag Manchester United back into the equation, in an article which talks up Juventus’ bargaining position.

With Virgil van Dijk going for such a big fee to Liverpool it’s believed Juventus can ask for €60m or maybe even more, for a move either in January or the next summer window.

The Turin club have been warming to the idea of a sale, so that €60m would probably do it, but Mourinho would have to get big backing from Manchester United’s board to complete such a move in the winter window.

And if he doesn’t get the backing he wants next month, then we’ll all probably know about it quite quickly.
