Manchester United are looking to bolster their strike force after Erik ten Hag asked for a new No.9.

According to Bild, the Red Devils manager is ‘still dealing’ with the ‘top striker’ that is Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani. He scored 23 goals and registered 17 assists from 46 games last season.

The Glazers, who are the current custodians of Manchester United, are in the process of selling the club. There’s still no final outcome yet on the new owners.

The report point this out and state the Premier League side still do not know where they can spend in excess of €100m to sign the France international.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has admitted it’s possible for the player to continue at the club for one more season. At the same time, he hasn’t ruled out a sale late.

“It is a difficult situation. Of course, there comes a point at which we have to decide whether we should still do it. But there are sums that you can’t say no to,” he said.

Kolo Muani hasn’t received offers so far. Bild explain that the German club would be happy to sanction his sale late in the window, should they receive an offer of around €100m.

He isn’t the only striker target for Ten Hag. Latest claims from the Italian press have said Manchester United are working to sign Atalanta star Rasmus Højlund, who’s a cheaper option than the Frenchman, but also a less prolific one.
