Borussia Mönchengladbach manager Gerardo Seoane has admitted that Wolverhampton Wanderers target Nico Elvedi could be leaving at any minute.

The Borussia manager has been speaking to the press regarding the defender during pre-season training this week.

Elvedi has been linked with a move to Wolves for weeks as they look to strengthen Julen Lopetegui’s squad following the departure of Nathan Collins to Brentford.

A report on the 18th of this month indicated the player had been convinced on the move to Molineux and so had his girlfriend, who had been to England to scout out houses.

That was followed by a claim on the 22nd that Wolves were in ongoing negotiations over a deal for the Borussia Mönchengladbach defender.

There has seemingly been no progress on the potential move since that point, with the player currently in pre-season training with the German side awaiting developments.

Now Seoane has commented on the situation, admitting anything could happen in regard to the player’s potential move to Wolves.

“You know how business is,” he said.

“Development can always take place. Nico is here at the training camp. He works well, we keep working with him, he could come to play too. Let’s see what will happen.”
