Following the many rumours regarding the interest of Italian clubs in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, it seems the AS Roma are finally moving to get the signing done.

It’s well known that club director Tiago Pinto went to London for some transfer business with Premier League clubs, and according to outlet Roma Giallorossa, there’s a quest for the Blues’ player.

The website writes that José Mourinho asked for a midfield reinforcement, and Loftus-Cheek’s name ‘was mentioned’.

Roma have meetings to speak about West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca, and it turns out the Chelsea player shares the same agent, so they’ll be ‘trying to enter negotiations’ with this summit in London.

The Giallorossi intention is reportedly to sign Loftus-Cheek on a loan with the right to buy.

Even though AC Milan are also said to be interested in the Chelsea midfielder, the story claims Stefano Pioli ‘appear to be behind’, and more will be known ‘in the next few hours’.

Since Loftus-Cheek is said to be on the Blues’ transfer list for the summer, it doesn’t sound like Italian clubs will have a huge challenge to get to a deal with the Stamford Bridge side.
