Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz had this week a long interview with TNT Sports Chile, which is divided in two parts on YouTube.

On Wednesday, we had already covered the quotes where the player talked about his love for his club, pointing out he’s happy to stay with them for another season despite the rumours which linked him to a move this summer.

It turns out Brereton Diaz was also asked about the possibility of a move to Stoke City in the future.

That subject was brought up by TNT Sports because they’d been speaking about the Blackburn player finishing his career in Chile.

The interviewer then recalled that the 23-year-old had previously spoken about his childhood affection for the Potters, as that’s where he was born.

So asking the striker if he’d rather play in Chile or for Stoke City, the player took the weather as the big reason why he’d move to South America.

“In Chile it’s hot, so I’d go to Chile. Stoke is cold, very cold,” Brereton Diaz told TNT Sports.

The striker’s relationship with the South American country exists because of his mother, who’s Chilean, and that convinced him to play for their national team.

Still, the player continues to give those interviews in English, claiming he’s working on his Spanish.
