When Argentine side Tallares started being linked to Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Josh Windass, the move sounded pretty plausible. Besides the player reportedly keen on the transfer, his little playing time in England could make an agreement easier.

However, according to new updates from South America, the talks are not having any real developments.

Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo today reports that Sheffield Wednesday have already turned down two offers from Tallares for Windass’ summer move.

It’s claimed that even though the Argentine club continue to try and agree a fee for the signing, the Owls actually don’t want to get rid of the player.

It’s once again reported that Windass wants to make the move to Cordoba, even though he respects Sheffield Wednesday ‘a lot’.

The 28-year-old, who only made 12 appearances for the Owls this season, has only one more year left in his contract with the club. His valuation on Transfermarkt is €2m, and it’s not known how much has been offered or what the asking price is.
