Djurgarden sporting director Bosse Anderson has confirmed to the Swedish media his club are interested in Hull City midfielder Sebastian Larsson.

The Sweden international’s contract with Hull City expires in the summer, and he’s also been linked with a move to AIK in recent days, after their sporting director Björn Wesström confirmed his interest in the 32 year old.

Speaking to Fotboll Direkt, Anderson was asked whether Djurgarden would be looking to sign Larsson in the next window: “Clearly, a name like Seb is interesting for Djurgarden. Yes, he is interesting us.”

There have been reports Larsson could move back to Sweden at the end of the season, with Stockholm being his preferred choice to live.

Both Djurgarden and AIK are based in the Swedish capital, and either could be an ideal move for the Hull City star.

Despite being capped nearly 100 times by his national team, Larsson has never played senior football in his home country, after spending his entire career in England.
