It seems the rumours linking Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra with a move to Sporting didn’t last long.

It was on Tuesday that the Portuguese media first claimed that the Whites have the 24-year-old as an option to reinforce their squad this week. The story was picked up by the English media, which made it all grow a little.

Now as Record today updates their live transfer blog, they come up to simply say that Sporting don’t intend to sign Sinisterra from Leeds.

There are absolutely no details in the short sentence they bring. The outlet just claims that, despite recent rumours, he’s not in the Lisbon side’s plans.

Sporting are indeed interested in a new winger, but at this stage, it would appear they’re looking at other options.

Under contract at Leeds United until 2027, Sinisterra already has made four appearances for the Whites this season, and scored a goal in the Championship’s last round against Ipswich Town.

Leeds United will almost certainly to keep him for their promotion push, so Sporting not being keen is clearly pleasing news.
