After the news broken by O Jogo this morning, the Portuguese media is now all jumping onboard Alfa Semedo’s move to Nottingham Forest.

The Northern newspaper had claimed the transfer as done, with the player joining the Championship side one a one-year loan deal. They had quotes from his agent to back that up.

Now Record reports that Semedo is ‘close’ to making the move, and ‘should’ travel to England in the next few days.

Just like O Jogo, they say Semedo is joining Forest on a one-year loan deal, and the English side will not have a buying option after the spell.

Despite Record’s caution in reporting the agreement, there’s another outlet who takes the deal as done. That’s TVI24.

They say the player has been at Benfica’s training centre on Saturday, but since he’s not part of Bruno Lage’s plans for the season, he didn’t even train with the squad.

TVI24 is sure that Semedo should travel to Nottingham on Monday, where he will sign a one-year deal with Forest.

According to the Portuguese press, Nottingham Forest have won a race against Burnley, Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic.
