Championship side Nottingham Forest have found a deal for the signing of Alfa Semedo from Benfica, according to reports from Portugal.

The 21-year-old is set to make the move on a loan deal, as confirmed by the player’s representative.

“There is already an agreement with Nottingham Forest, it’s closed for a one-year loan with no purchase option,” Sebastião Adilé told O Jogo.

The newspaper reports that Forest have sent representatives to Lisbon to close the deal. They’ve worked to get all the details sorted so the player can fly to England and sign for the club.

Alfa Semedo had been linked to Wigan this week, and O Jogo recalls it today. They say that the likes of Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Middlesbrough all joined the race, and it was Forest who found a deal first.

This is the second deal with Championship clubs that Benfica make this week. They’ve also loaned Filip Krovinovic to West Brom, also with no buying option.
