According to Turkiye, Watford striker Stefano Okaka has told the Premier League club he wants to leave and join Galatasaray.

We covered claims earlier this week from Turkey that Galatasaray are interested in signing the Italian striker, and today Turkiye claim the player has officially asked to leave Watford. Okaka has previously been linked with a move the Super Lig.

It’s reported Galatasaray have agreed on personal terms with the player and the Turkish club are now trying to convince Watford.

The 29-year old is now personally involved in transfer talks and reportedly told Watford he wants to exit Vicarage Road ‘in peace’.

Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim is said to be keen on signing Okaka because the club’s Italian staff member Alberto Bartali has told him it would be a great piece of business for the club

The Istanbul club will be fighting on all fronts after making it to the Champions League group stages for next season.

After returning from his loan spell at Udinese, the former Sampdoria man is expected to find a new club this summer and is under contract with the Hornets until June 2021.
