Last week, we relayed news from Spain that Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong will make a decision on his future before January 20th.

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are the three clubs chasing after the midfielder.

Journalist Oriol Domènech has provided an update about the Netherlands international and Mundo Deportivo have relayed the key points in today’s edition of the newspaper.

He claims the 21-year-old will decide his future this week and the Eredivisie outfit will make an announcement.

It’s explained the player wants to sort his future out before his side play the first league match of this calendar year, on Sunday, so that he can focus on the second half of the season.

Mundo earlier reported the player has already agreed personal terms with the Blaugrana.

Domènech mentions that De Jong’s ‘first will’ is to play for the La Liga winners, while PSG are also in the race due to the economic offer.

Now it’s a matter of waiting.
