After making his desire clear that he wouldn’t renew with Paris Saint-Germain, Adrien Rabiot has not made an appearance for his side in 2019.

The midfielder’s contract expires after this season and in the first half of the campaign, several reports indicated that he was all but set to join Barcelona, but those links have now cooled off.

His mother Veronique Rabiot, who is also his agent has ‘talked’ to several clubs and this includes Arsenal, according to FcInterNews.

It’s claimed the Frenchman’s representative have expressed her client’s satisfaction to join the Arsenal, Juventus or Inter Milan on a free transfer in the summer.

Rabiot is demanding a net salary of €8m per season for five years and €10m to be paid to his mother. The net overall cost will come to €50m and the gross cost of the operation will be doubled, according to the claims.

These figures are ‘far from affordable’ for clubs like Barca, Real Madrid and Bayern, which is why Veronique has approached Arsenal, the Turin club and the Nerazzurri.

Since the gross cost of the operation is high, no club have seriously come forward to acquire Rabiot’s services as of now, this includes the Gunners.
