As the German media continues sharing updates on the transfer of Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich to Manchester United, Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg has the freshest claims on this pursuit.

The reporter comes up to Twitter to say that the player said yes to the move ‘hours ago’, and is ‘on the verge’ of moving to Old Trafford.

As previously reported by the German media, it’s claimed the player is ‘on his way’ to Manchester to complete the transfer.

Local reports had already said that Sabitzer was at Munich airport, and it should now take a couple of hours until he’s spotted in England to have the medical and sign for Manchester United.

According to stories from the English media, the midfielder is initially joining the Red Devils on a loan deal, as Erik ten Hag needed an emergency replacement for Christian Eriksen, who’s missing the next few months with an injury.

Plettenberg also says that Chelsea are ‘out’ of the race for Sabitzer. The Blues had indeed been reported as competitors for the signing, but local reports soon started claiming it was Manchester United who were leading that race.
