In the past few hours, the German media has made it clear that this is a very decisive time for the future of Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nubel.

Leeds United and Stuttgart have reportedly been fighting for the 26-year-old, and his choice is expected to be clear very soon.

Now as Kicker features an update on the situation, they end up bringing some bad news for the Elland Road side.

According to the outlet, even though Leeds were willing to pay the amount requested by Bayern Munich, the player is not keen on the move.

It’s claimed that Nubel would prefer staying in the Bundesliga instead of moving to the Championship.

Kicker’s story is mostly focused on the talks between Stuttgart and Bayern Munich, as if Leeds didn’t represent such a threat in this battle anymore.

However, it’s also pointed out that the German clubs are struggling a little to reach a financial agreement, as an amount between €8m and €10m is requested for the move.

So if Stuttgart can’t afford that, maybe that will give Leeds a chance to convince Nubel.
