Everton’s interest in Iliman Ndiaye is again being highlighted by the French media today.

This time it’s Ignazio Genuardi who writes that the Olympique Marseille striker remains ‘popular’ amongst English clubs.

It’s claimed that Everton have a ‘particular interest’ in the signing, although they may need to work out on a formula with the Ligue 1 side.

That’s because Genuardi makes it clear that Marseille are not a club who’d loan him out, making it sound like that’d be the Toffees’ first option.

Everton must also watch out for this competition from the Premier League, because the report claims that Crystal Palace and Sheffield United are both keen on signing him as well.

Marseille only recently signed Ndiaye from the Blades, as they invested €17m on his transfer last summer.

So far, he has one goal and three assists in 23 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, and his Transfermarkt value remains at €18m.

It remains to be seen how much Marseille would demand to let him go, especially with a loan out of the question.
