Turkish newspaper Sozcu report Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi is still drawing attention from Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25 year old has impressed for Fenerbahce this season after joining the club from Caykur Rizespor at the start of the season for €3.5m. His performances have caught the eye of some European clubs, and Sozcu report Lazio and Tottenham are leading the race for him.
Despite Tottenham’s interest, it’s stated Muriqi thinks he’s better suited to Serie A football and would like to join Lazio if the Italian side make an offer for him at the end of the season.
Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is reportedly following the player’s progress at Fener this season and could make an offer for him if Ciro Immobile leaves the club.
Tottenham were actively scouting him before the Turkish Super Lig stopped due to the Coronavirus outbreak and they could try their luck to secure his services in the summer.
Muriqi has scored 15 goals in 28 appearances for Fenerbahce this season and is under contract with the Turkish club until June 2023.
