Arriving on a loan with an option to buy that becomes mandatory after certain conditions are met, Dejan Kulusevski has been a great signing so far for Tottenham.

Coming directly from Antonio Conte, the request to bring the Sweden international in from Juventus was granted by Fabio Paratici, who threw in the permanent signing of Rodrigo Bentancur with it in the process.

Both have taken to Premier League football well, with the 21-year-old forward picking up two goals and four assists from 11 appearances so far.

He has started seven of a possible nine Premier League games since joining, and his performances have already earned him a song from the Spurs faithful, which Gazzetta dello Sport pick up on on Monday.

Looking at how Conte finally appears to have shaken the Tottenham squad enough to get them to do what he wants them to following their 3-1 win over West Ham at the weekend, the outlet then focus on the Swede.

They point out he’s displaced Lucas Moura in the manager’s hierarchy, quickly evolving from ‘the awkward kid who couldn’t withstand the pressures of the world’, which is a version of Kulusevski that has been ‘left behind’.

He’s now become a favourite at Tottenham, and he ‘couldn’t have made a better choice’ when he decided to hop onto the ‘train to London’ that simply passed ‘at the right time’ for him in January.

His story is a bit like that of his club, who appear to have finally made the right choice with Conte, ‘leaving him carte blanche and relying on his hunger for victory’ to steer them in the direction of trophies, which is something they have been lacking since 2008.

Whether he ultimately succeeds in that endeavour remains to be seen, but he’s revitalised a talented player in Kulusevski, which is already a small win in itself.
