Earlier today, TuttoMercatoWeb stated Tottenham Hotspur have reestablished contact with Genoa to get ahead of Napoli in the race to sign Radu Drăgușin.

The 21-year-old is ‘courted intensively’ by both Spurs and the Serie A side, who have been trying to get closer to Genoa’s €30m request to secure his services.

That’s according to Romania’s GSP.ro, who brings in a surprise update that Bayern Munich have joined Tottenham and Napoli in the transfer race.

The Bundesliga winners want the defender and there could be a ‘possible shock move’ for him in January.

Thomas Tuchel seems to have requested a new centre-back, and Bayern director Christoph Freund has also confirmed his side have had contacts for some players.

Freund didn’t reveal the details of these players while the outlet suggests Drăgușin could be on their target list. They add the Bavarian club would have no problem in meeting the €30m fee requested by Genoa.

The Romania international’s agent Florin Manea has told GSP.ro that he “doesn’t know anything” about Bayern’s interest in his client. He has also confirmed the meeting with Genoa to discuss Drăgușin’s future.

“On Monday, I will meet with officials from Genoa to discuss Radu’s situation,” he said.

Bayern Munich have been strongly linked with Eric Dier and it would be a big change to move to Drăgușin instead. That the player’s agent, who has repeatedly been happy to talk about interest from various named clubs, knows nothing about Bayern is perhaps telling.
