Tottenham Hotspur fullback Destiny Udogie is today linked with a Real Madrid move.

That transfer is actually a suggestion. That was made by Fran Guillen on Radio Marca, while they were discussing the Galacticos’ upcoming signings.

Real Madrid are said to be pursuing Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, and the pundits had been complaining about how expensive he could be, as his price tag is said to be around €70m.

They then started wondering who’d be a good, cheaper option than the Canadian, and that’s when the Tottenham player was brought in by Guillen.

“Udogie is a less media-friendly and perhaps cheaper option,” said Fran Guillen.

Since the pundits had been claiming that Davies would only be worth half of that €70m price tag, we now wonder how much they think Udogie would cost.

Tottenham may have spent just €18m to sign the fullback from Udinese in 2022, only bringing him to London last summer, but we’ve seen his price on Transfermarkt go up to €38m in the past few months.

The player is well protected by Spurs with a contract until 2027, so good luck to Real Madrid if they want to have him as a bargain.
