It seems Flamengo haven’t given up on signing Gustavo Scarpa from Nottingham Forest.

Earlier this month, reports from the Brazilian media had already claimed that the club made an approach for the midfielder, and head he’s not looking to return to South America at this time.

Now according to Goal Brasil, Flamengo made new contacts for the Nottingham Forest player.

The most interesting information in this new story is that, this time, the club heard that the Reds are willing to negotiate the midfielder.

Scarpa, however, continues to not be willing to return to Brazil, so he’s the one who’d need to get convinced.

Flamengo have many other midfielders on their list, so it’s not very likely they’ll be pushing so hard to sign the 29-year-old.

Gustavo Scarpa joined Nottingham Forest on a free move from Palmeiras in January. In his first months with the Reds, he only made 10 appearances, as he dealt with personal problems and injuries.

The player always made it clear he dreamed of playing in the Premier League, and with a fresh season ahead, it’s no surprise he wants a new chance.
