Nottingham Forest are reportedly making a late move for the signing of Guido Rodriguez.

That’s reported by Spanish outlet ABC, who claims the Reds are ‘pushing’ to get another midfielder in the final hours of the transfer window.

Rodriguez has just turned down an offer from Lyon, and it’s not yet decided whether he’s staying at Betis for this season.

Even though the club ‘count’ on him and made him an offer for a contract renewal, Nottingham Forest are ‘insisting’ and raising their bid for him.

ABC says the Tricky Trees already tried to sign Rodriguez with a €7.5m offer, and that was turned down by Betis. Now they come up with more money and are still to convince the Spanish side of a deal.

The coming hours will obviously be crucial for the transfer, and the player is expected to have a major role in the decision.

As widely reported today, Nottingham Forest are about to confirm the arrival of Ibrahim Sangaré from PSV, so that’s the Reds making a late move to get their midfield strengthened twice on transfer deadline day.
