Manchester City and Manchester United are keen on signing Juventus defender Alex Sandro, reportĀ Calciomercato.
Manchester United are said to have also made proposals to sign Sandro, but without any success. Juventus have already renewed the contracts of Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala, and are keen on keeping Sandro at the club.
Calciomercato say contract negotiations haven’t started yet, and there is no rush to do it. Sandro’s current deal expires in 2020, and he could be offered an extension until 2022 with wages ofĀ ā¬2.8m per year.
Calciomercato make it quite clear that Juventus have no intention of letting Sandro leave for either of theĀ Manchester clubs, even for a transfer fee ofĀ ā¬60m. As things stand, Sandro is a key player for Massimiliano Allegri,Ā so an exit would look unlikely.
These claims of interest from Manchester pop up now and again in Italy, usually for Manchester City, and it almost feels like a flexing of Juventus muscles: You want him but you can’t have him.
