Liverpool, Newcastle and Wolverhampton Wanderers all find themselves in a tough battle to sign Sao Paulo youngster Lucas Beraldo.

That’s according to Fichajes, who say the Brazilian U-20 defender is being targeted by the Premier League trio and others around Europe.

They explain that the big European clubs are always in search of young talent and Beraldo is one of the latest emerging from Brazil.

His performances have ‘caught the attention’ of several big sides, with Liverpool, Newcastle and Wolves all named as potential suitors alongside the likes of Benfica, Porto and Monaco.

The sides named ‘have expressed their interest’ in the 19-year-old, who has impressed scouts with his defensive prowess, ability to anticipate plays and comfort on the ball playing out from the back.

All of these abilities have made the scouts from the aforementioned clubs consider him a promising investment for the future.

Sao Paulo are aware of the interest that has been sparked in their player and are carefully evaluating offers and looking for the best option to further Beraldo’s development.
