According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce and Newcastle United are set to go head to head for the signature of West Bromwich Albion defender Kieran Gibbs.
The former Arsenal player could leave the Hawthorns this summer after the Baggies failed to get promotion back to the Premier League.
It’s been reported the Turkish club are in the market for a left back with Hasan Ali Kaldirim being linked with a move to West Ham United. Gibbs looks to be an option for Fener, but it’s claimed Newcastle United are also tracking him.
The Super Lig side have also been linked with Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno, whose contract expires this summer.
Gibbs was a regular for West Brom in the Championship last season, making 36 appearances for the English side.
The 29 year old is under contract until June 2021.
